The New Battle Ground

Wufei was sitting down at his desk at the preventers head quarters thinking about what Sally had said to him the other day. It was something he just couldn’t get out of his head, that was because it was true. He thought back to that day.

-Flashback-

Sally: Can I ask you a question Wufei?

Wufei: What?

Sally: Why is it that you have never invited your friends on a trip..or over your house for a party or even drinks.

Wufei: ....

Sally: Aren’t you gonna answer me?

Wufei: (annoyed) Give me a second to think women...hmm...I don’t know...I really never thought about it.

Sally: Maybe you should, it seems that everyone is always forcing you to do something or go somewhere.

Wufei: That is true, but their isn’t anything that I would want to do.

-End Flashback-

Wufei ponder that question in his head ever since Sally asked him it and it was driving him nuts. Wufei decided to do some work when he notice something in the mail and it gave him an idea.

A few days later, somewhere else in the world you see a young man by the blue glow of a laptop. He was trying to find an new job when he notice that he had got some mail( he what had notice sooner,but he broke the speaker because ever five minutes he would hear “YOU GOT MAIL”.).

Heero: Damn, it could only be three people.(Duo, Quatra, or Relena) I could only image what they want now.

Heero was shocked and amazed when he read the e-mail. He pinched himself to make sure that he was not dreaming and to make sure that he wasn’t going crazy he e-mailed Duo. After receiving his response ensuring him that he wasn’t going crazy. He decided to play along thinking it was some kind of trick.

Severe days went by and everybody who got the same e-mail as Heero met up where the letter say too. Everybody wanted to know what was going on and why Wufei wanted them to go what seemed to be the middle of nowhere.

Duo: I think Wu-man has lost it now...what could we do in the sticks...really?

Quatra: I guess we will find out soon enough...He say to meet up hear at 10 o’clock and it 5 minutes too.

Duo: I can’t believe I woke up this early... I barely got any sleep.

Heero: Shut up and stop complaining Duo...Wufei must have a good reason for us coming hear.

Trowa: Heeros got a good point.

Duo: And he speaks, I almost forgot what you sounded like.

Trowa:....

Duo: (smacking his head) I spoke to soo......

Duo was interrupted by Heeros’ gun being pointed at his face.

Heero: I said shut up....didn’t I

Duo:(Nodding his head) yep...I got your point

Quatra: Hey...I see a car coming...it must be Wufei.

Duo: That doesn’t look like his car.

Trowa: What, that looks likes...

Heero: ( interrupting Trowa) Zech...what’s he doing here?

The car parks next to the other cars and he gets out and processed to the former gundam pilot. The whole time with a confused look on his face

Zech: (confused) what is going on hear...why did Wufei want us to meet up here?

Quatra: We don’t know.

Duo: (Pointing to a car coming down the road) We will find out now.

The car comes down the road and begins to park next to Zechs’ car. Wufei exits the car and walks over to the other with a grin on his face.

Wufei: So I see that all of you made it....that’s good.

Heero: Why are we here?

Duo: Yea!

Wufei: I decided that we should play a game.

Quatra: Yea...I love games...What kind of game?

Everybody but Quatra: Game?

Trowa: Is this a trick?

Wufei: No..no trick

Heero: Then what?

Wufei: Paint ball

All: What?.

Wufei: What...that doesn’t sound like fun?

Heero: No it does....but were just shocked.

Quatra: What’s paint ball?

Duo: (sarcasticly)It a game were you shoot balls of paint at each other.

Sarcastic:(scared) That doesn’t sound like fun.

Wufei: It will be...trust me.

Trowa: Good idea Wufei.

Heero: I agree. I would have never guess that Wufei would have done this on his own, it must have been Sally Po’s idea.

Zech: Why am I here?

Wufei: Isn’t it obvious...We need the teams to be even and there is only five gundam pilots...and you could be consider one too.

Zech: I guess so.

Wufei: So are you all up to it?

Heero: (nods his head)

Duo: Hell yea.

Zech: Sure.

Trowa: ( nods his head)

Quatra: As long as nobody gets hurt, yes.

Duo: I ain’t promising anything.

Wufei: Ok then follow me to the place.

They all got into their cars and follow Wufei to the paint ball grounds witch was a few miles away. It only took a few minutes to get their as all of the pilots could not wait to play except one.(guess witch one) When they arrived at their destination they all got out of their cars and continue to follow Wufei inside.

Duo: So Wu-man, were did you get this idea? Sally right.

Wufei: Don’t call me Wu-man or I will shove my sword down you throat and no I didn’t get this idea from that women.

Heero: Yea right.

Wufei: Ok, before we go any further I’m going to have to ask that all weapons .......including my sword must be left here...that means you Heero and Zech.

Heero and Zech both look at each other and slowly retrieve their weapons from their hidden spots and hand them to Wufei.

Wufei: Good, now your spare.

Again Heero and Zech both look at one another and both bended down to remove their spare gun.

Wufei: (Gesturing to Trowa and Duo to hold down Heero) And I quick pat down to make sure.

Heero: (loudly) Hey let me go.

Wufei: good, no more.

Trowa: Sorry about this, but we know you to well.

Heero: Understood.

Wufei goes over to a locker and locks up all of their weapons and walks back to the group.

Wufei: Their should be a instructor here any minute.

Duo: good, I can’t wait much longer.

He didn’t have to because by the time he said that the door behind him open and a fairly attractive women step out.

Instructor: Hello...I will be showing you how to work the paint ball guns and most important telling you the rules and regulates here.

Wufei: Great, a women.

Instructor: well, follow me into the preparation room.

All of the pilots follow without hast except for Wufei, who was surprised to see that a women would showing them how to use a weapon(even a paint ball gun) She gesturing to them to sit down witch their did happily.

Instructor: Before I begin, does anybody have any questions?

Heero and Quatra both raised their hands. Heero nodded at Quatra to go first.

Quatra: Has anyone been hurt by a paint ball gun?

Instructor: Besides a couple of bruises, no, it not like they could kill you. And what was your question young man.

Heero: Never mind, you just answer my question.

The instructor looked at him confused ,but everybody knew what he meant and if you looked hard enough you could see a hint of a smile on everybody except Quatra who looked displeased by Heero's response. The instructor satisfied that their were no more question began to go over every thing. Heero was completely focus on learning how to completely use the gun along with Zech, Wufei and Trowa. Duo didn’t really pay to much attending and Quatra tried too ,but he was to nervous and he couldn’t consternate. When she was done she directed them to the locker room and handed them camouflage jump suits and helmets. When they came out she gave them their supplies and paint ball guns.

Duo: (loudly)I will be the god of death once again.

Heero: That’s starting to get old.

Trowa: True.

Duo: I don’t think that I asked you opinions.

Wufei: Shut up Maxwell...I came up with the teams, hope you don't mind...the blue team will be...(looks at a piece of paper) Trowa, Zech, and Duo.(Hands them a blue ribbon )

Zech: Good, Heero is on the other team, that should make things intresting.

Wufei: And the yellow team will consisted of Heero, Quatra, and my self.(hands them a yellow ribbon)

Heero: How long did it take to make the teams?

Wufei:(sacasticly)Too long...anyway...just tie the ribbon on your arm and we will began.

They complied and the two teams split apart,and went to the starting areas. And at the sound of the horn they had five minutes to enter the woods and begin their new battle. The rules were simply, If you get hit with a paint ball your out, if you leave the designated area your out, to win you have to capture the other teams flag and bring it to the were you flag was located, the only time that you can enter the 100 foot area around you flag is when you have the other teams flag, if you enter that area without it , you are out, and you can not shot a person if they are out, and if you are out you must raise you gun above you head with a flag in it(witch was giving to them). When the horn sounded they all disappeared into thin air except for Quatra who was a little confused , but got with the program a took off into the woods.

Heero and Wufei running next to one another.

Heero: Why did you put Quatra on this team? He’s going to slow us down.

Wufei: it was him or Duo, I would end up killing him.

Heero: I see...you made the correct decision.

Wufei: I knew you would understand.

Heero: OK...enough small talk, lets come up will a strategy.I got a plan.

Trowa , Zech, and Duo were huddled and coming up with a plan of their own.

Trowa: Zech, What do you think they will try.

Zech: Well, they don’t have many options...One, they could go straight for the flag...Two, they could try to take us out first...And three, split up and try to do both.

Duo: Knowing Wufei, he would want to take us out first.

Trowa: Duo’s got a point, he doesn’t seem the type to run around trying to get a flag.

Duo: But Heero will see this as a mission and he will go for the win, not the kill.

Zech: So, it is must likly they will go for three, is that agreed.

Trowa and Duo: Yes.

Zech: Ok then, I will go to and intercept Heero while you two go and take out Wufei and Quatra, is that agreed.

Trowa: (nods his head)

Duo: Why do you go to take out Heero, I would be more suited for the job.

Trowa: Zech should go because he knows Heero’s tactics better then you would.

Duo: I see you point....but I think it’s still a job for the god of death.

Zech makes his way to stop Heero’s attempt to get the flag, while Trowa and Duo head out in the direction they fell will hold up the best chances to find them. After some time of traveling they see what looks like Quatra walking around like he has no idea where he is going. They decided to ambush him and catch him off guard. They both split up, Duo hide behind a nearby tree while Trowa hide in a bush.

Duo: I feel sorry that Quatra got to be my first victim, but it’s his own fault for standing out in the open.

Trowa: They must have left Quatra brhind, it doesn’t surprise me, they are just as much as loners as I am ..........wait a second...this doesn’t feel right...

Trowa notice something out of the corner of his eyes, but it was to late. Wufei jump out of a tree and covered Duo in yellow paint and attempted to shot Trowa, but Trowa jump into the air dodging the shots and returning fire, but he forgot about Quarta for a second and when he landed on a above tree limb Qautra shot him with ease.

Quatra: I got him.

Wufei: Good work.

Trowa: But, how...and what if you missed me Qautra, I would have shot you and in time got Wufei.

Out of nowhere a figure appeared behind Trowa.

Heero: Then I would have got you.

Duo: Well you impressed me...that’s for damn sure .

Wufei:(locking around)Where is Zech?

Heero: Probably to guard the flag.

Quatra: What should we do now?

Heero: Win, I’ll take care of Zech long enough for you two to retrieve the flag.

Wufei: I want to take out Zech.

Heero: No, not this time, I still own him one. But don’t forget.

Wufei: What?

Heero: We get to play any amount of games within the giving time on the field.

Quatra: How long is that anyway?

Wufei: We are paid up to three hours.

Duo: wev have only been playing for twenty minutes or so.

Heero: so we have plenty of time to play.

Wufei: fine, but I get Zech next time.

Heero takes off in seach of Zechs while Wufei and Quatra went after the flag the short way assume that he would think that Heero would that the long way.

Trowa and Duo had to stay behind and wait for the others to return.

Duo: Do you think that we can switch up the teams?, other wise this will become boring quick.

Trowa: I don’t see why not. If we don’t, it will either be easier or harder to predict the other teams moves.

Duo: True, I guess we will see.

Further up the woods Zech could see two people trying to conceal themself as they travel towards the flag. At first he could not tell who it was, but after a few moments he realized that it was Quarta and Wufei. He didn’t understand at first, but he was starting to get a idea when could hear a pop sound and then his helmet shook violently and he turn around to see Heero at a pretty good distance away. Heero Just looked at him and gave him a little wave. He put up his gun just as Quatra and Wufei ran by him with a confused look on their face and Quatra began to laugh .Heero walk over towards Zech.

Heero: You should have been watching your back.

Zech: But how did you hit me from so far away?...these guns aren’t the greatest and they are nowhere near accurate.

Heero: Maybe for you, but we should go meet up with the others.

Zech: Sure, but can you answer me one thing?

Heero:(lools at Zech).......

Zech: How did you know what we were gonna do?

Heero: I had I feeling you were do the most logical approach, so I decided to do the most illogical approach. Quatra would act confused , Wufei and I would stay out of sight in the trees waiting for your team would take advantaged of the circumstance and then we take control of the situation.

Zech: How did you know they would not think it was a trap?

Heero: Call it a hunch.

Heero and Zech meet up with Duo and Trowa where they were defeated. A few minutes later Wufei and Quatra showed up.

Wufei: I can’t keep on bringing your flag to ours, so I came up with a idea.

Duo: What makes you think you will win again.

Zech: Braided boy is right, I demand a rematch.

Duo: That basterd. What did you call me?

Trowa: Don’t worry about it Duo.

Heero: What is this idea that you had?

Quatra: I don’t know how many more ideas that I can handle of Wufei’s in one day.

Wufei: Shut up weakling....we will have a rematch, but first lets have some real fun.

Duo: what is it already?

Wufei: I say we play a game of free for all.

(execpt for Quatra)All of them smiled( even Heero) and all just nodded their heads

Duo: It will be like the old days.

Quatra: (loudly)Hell no, I’m out!

Everybody just looked at him with utter shock clearly on their faces. They have never hear him talk in such a manner.

Heero: Well then you don’t have too

Heero then shoots Quatra point blank in the stomach and he drops to the ground yelling in pain. Duo went to shoot Heero when he realized that there was a real gun pointing at him.

Heero: Don’t even think about it.

Wufei: Where the hell did that come from? We patted you down.

Heero: I don’t think that you really want to know.
